East Coast 12 Inch Rarities Volumes 7 & 8

In response to 'popular' demand I am coming at ya with another edition of my east coast 12 inch series. These were fun to put together and I'm glad y'all are digging them. Today we have volumes 7 and 8. I think volume 7 is mostly New York artists except for maybe Papa Chuk, Redman and Concrete Click. If I am not mistaken, Papa Chuk was from North Carolina originally and later moved to Texas. I am not sure where he recorded. If anyone out there can shed some light on his work I'd love to know. East Coast 12 Inch Rarities Volume 6

This compilation is on a more mellow vibe than the east coast 12 inch volumes preceding it. I like the change of pace and I hope you do too. Favorite cuts here are numbers 2, 8 and 9. A couple geographical mistakes are generally par for the course. For instance, I think Saukrates is from Canada and Zombie Squad is a european crew. Don't quote me on that though.

East Coast 12 Inch Rarities Volume 4 And 5

I have not posted any of my east coast 12 inch compilations in ages so I thought I'd include a couple this time. Today we have volumes 4 and 5. Most of the material is dark gritty stuff, perfect for Halloween. As sometimes happens there are a couple geographical mistakes here and there. I always find out about them later. Nonetheless I hope these two compilations get some time in your system.

East Coast 12 Inch Rarities Volume 3

Today I am bringing you volume 3 from my east coast 12 inch series. I know I've said it before, but there are mountains of these. I just completed volume 115 the other day so there is a ton of music in store for you fans of that grungy, dark east coast hip hop. Most of these artists are from New York except for track 5, and I THINK Black Eye is from Washington Dc, but do not take my word for it. It might be New York too. The other exception to the NY rule is Real Live, apparently from New Jersey. These east coast 12 inch compilations have been a long time habit for me, and this is one of my early efforts. One of my favorite tracks is number 6. The Flatlinerz have in my own humble opinion, been unfairly labeled as wack imitators by fellow heads. I have to cry foul at this merciless accusation and rush to defend their product as high-grade. Maybe I'm smoking something but I've always dug them. Here's a link and the tracklist. Enjoy!

Volume 2 of the east coast rarities series. A few of these tracks are pretty obscure, and all fall into the category of dope. All New York artists as far as I know except for track 8. My fav tracks on volume 2 would have to be numbers 6,8 and 16. Hope you like. As I said at the beginning, there are over 100 of these compilations specifically, so stick around for awhile.

East Coast 12 Inch Rarities Volume 1

This little collection of tracks is the start of something big. When I began I did not realize how big the project would become. This is volume one of my east coast 12 inch (and ep) mix series. I just put together volume 108 the other day. I will be bringing all 108 of them to the table so keep checking back. Track 2 is something that I recorded on tape from kaos 89.3 fm, in Olympia, Washington, during the fall of 1993. F Mob is so obscure that it took 12 years to find a copy of the song on a compilation. Then it took another year or more to find the full album ! All New York artists except as far as I know except for the exceptions listed next to the track titles.
