Rappers - Where Are They (You) Now?

You see them for a second, then they're gone! There you were, cooling out with your latest Sony Walkman, the expensive model with digital tuning, auto-reverse, and mega-bass boost, jamming to the latest DJ Juice mixtape or hissy dub of Neek The Exotic tracks. You thought that shit would last forever, didn't you? You never contemplated the inevitable and here you are in 2008, wondering how in the fuck Danja Mowf is AWOL and yet Talib Kweli still has a viable career.

That's assuming you're a fan. Big assumption. If you're reading this, you could very well be a rapper or producer who has been absent from the public view for a minute. It has been known to happen you know. Not that there's anything wrong with that. There is life after rap, really. Recently Ahmad, of "Back In The Day" fame, was awarded a full scholarship to complete his B.A. at Stanford University. One of the guys from the Troubleneck Brothers now runs a website that receives more traffic every hour than we have since our inception. And so on and so forth.

If you're a rapper or producer from "back in the day," get in touch with us @blog.philaflava.com. We can talk interviews and unreleased tracks. Let the fans know what you're up to. Hey, why not, right? -- Thun

Rap Videos That Feature Muppets

Okay, so they don't all feature muppets. There are puppets, costumed actors, marionettes, and bobbleheads too. -- Thun

KMD - Who Me?

Masta Ace - Me & The Biz

McDonald's Puppet Rap

Ultimate Breaks And Beats Vo. 6-10

Still sayin' damn to a post I made a week ago

If you like rappers who destroy every track they appear on, then Funky Technician is for you. If you like Diamond D, DJ Premier, and Showbiz beats, then this album is for you. If you like never ending punchlines that still make you say damn 18 years later, then this album is for you. If you want to hear a hungry AG go toe to toe with Finesse and more than hold his own, this album is for you (rumor has it AG was the only one to come close to defeating Finesse in battles back in the day). You will recognize many a famous breakbeat and many a sampled lyric from this stone cold classic, and it may even make you walk with a bop and your hat turned backwards.

1) Lord Finesse's Theme Song Intro
2) Baby, You Nasty
3) Funky Technician
4) Back to Back Rhyming feat. AG
5) Here I Come
6) Slave to My Soundwave feat. AG
7) I Keep the Crowd Listening
8) Bad Mutha
9) Keep It Flowing
10) Lesson to Be Taught
11) Just a Little Something
12) Strictly for the Ladies
13) Track the Movement
